In Talent Acquisition and Onboarding, it’s easy to focus on processes, timelines, and checklists. But what truly matters isn’t the paperwork—it’s the experience we create for every new hire.
Onboarding is more than a formality. It’s the first real expression of our culture, values, and commitment to people. And it starts long before Day 1.
Before Day 1: Building Belonging Early
The journey begins the moment a candidate says “yes.” From that point, our focus shifts from recruiting talent to creating belonging.
- Offer stage: A virtual meeting with the hiring partner and a thoughtful offer presentation give candidates their first glimpse into our leadership style and culture.
- Pre-onboarding outreach: Alongside essentials like background checks, requirements, and IT setup, we prioritize warmth and anticipation. Every step says: We’re preparing for you—not just filling a position.
About 1–2 weeks before the start date, we host a virtual meet-and-greet with HR and cross-functional colleagues. It’s informal but intentional—designed to create early connections that ease first-day anxiety and build confidence.
Day 1: Setting the Tone
When the first day arrives, the agenda is purposeful:
- Leadership introductions
- Cultural touchpoints
- Real conversations with peers
These aren’t “nice-to-haves.” They’re foundational moments that help new hires feel seen, aligned, and part of something bigger.
Beyond Week 1: Continuous Support
Onboarding doesn’t end after a welcome session. We:
- Gather feedback early and often
- Schedule check-ins during the second week to listen, adjust, and support
- Maintain an ongoing feedback loop between the employee, Amihan, and their client assignment—living out our value of integrity
This continuity turns onboarding into a relationship, not a one-off event.
Culture in Action
At Amihan Solutions, onboarding is culture in motion. Every step reinforces trust, connection, and clarity. Done well, it doesn’t just prepare people for their roles—it creates belonging and moments that matter.
And those moments? We hope they’re remembered for all the right reasons.
