As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, role is to proactively monitor and maintain complex network infrastructures, manage incidents and changes, and resolve network-related issues to ensure service availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Proactive supervision and monitoring of complex network infrastructures in an enterprise environment
- Responsibility for incident and change management in the network sector
- Proactive tasks and preventive maintenance of customer infrastructures
- Tasks in the areas of firewalls (~60%) & switching (~30%), as well as WLAN, WAN and VPN (~10%)
- Customer communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or any related course
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer
- In-depth technical knowledge in the areas of perimeter security, routing & switching, VPN, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi
- Training or certifications from Fortinet (at least NSE4) and Cisco (at least CCNA) are advantageous
- Working methods in line with ITIL, as well as process-oriented thinking such as change management and planning maintenance windows
- A mindset geared towards preventive and proactive work
- Willingness to work evenings and nights
- Good English communication skills
