We’re on the lookout for a Principal – Business Architecture & Functional Design to join one of our dynamic client teams, one of the leading data center and digital provider based in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Own business architecture from customer and business model through products, Sales & Order Management, activation and customer service.
- Own end-to-end business architecture across Customer, Product / Offer, Sales, Solutioning / CPQ, Contract, Order, Delivery / Activation and Service.
- Validate the Hyperscale productization hypothesis by distinguishing standard, configurable and genuinely bespoke project components.
- Develop a productization and maturity roadmap that progressively moves repeatable project scope into reusable products, services and process patterns.
- Design Sales & Order Management from opportunity and solution configuration through approval, contract / order capture, decomposition and delivery hand-off.
- § Develop the target operating model with capabilities, ownership, decision rights, roles, KPIs and cross-functional hand-offs.
- Design customer-service processes after activation, including SLA / entitlement, Incident, Request, escalation and communication processes.
- Develop implementation-ready SOM / CSM / ITSM backlog, acceptance criteria and functional quality gates.
- Deliver business capability map and target maturity across Market-to-Product, Lead-to-Order, Order-to-Activate and Service-to-Resolve.
- Assess Hyperscale project patterns and define standard / configurable / bespoke segmentation.
- Develop the business-level product and service model and productization roadmap.
- Develop the target operating model, ownership model, decision rights and RACI.
- Create end-to-end Sales & Order Management and activation process blueprints.
- Define Hyperscale vs Enterprise process variants and service operating models.
- Design SLA / entitlement, taxonomy, escalation and customer-communication processes.
- Develop ServiceNow-ready backlog, acceptance criteria and capability-transfer plan.
- Challenge executives, Operations and the SI while driving detailed decisions personally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years across business architecture, operating-model design and implementation-oriented functional transformation.
- B2B telecom, managed services, cloud, critical infrastructure or data-center experience.
- Proven productization of project-led B2B business into standard or configurable products and services.
- Deep Sales & Order Management experience from opportunity / solution configuration through order capture, decomposition and activation.
- Strong customer-service operating-model and process depth after activation.
- ServiceNow SOM / CSM / ITSM understanding and experience through implementation acceptance.
- Able to challenge executives, Operations and the SI while driving detailed decisions personally.
- ServiceNow Telco / TMT, SOM, TSM / TPSM or CSM experience.
- Data-center, colocation, complex infrastructure solutioning or other critical-infrastructure operations experience.
- Experience with Hyperscale customer environments with a mix of project-specific and recurring services.
- Prior accountability from business architecture through process design, build acceptance and transition to run.
