The Insights team is at the forefront of transforming data into actionable intelligence and empowering our clients to understand their customers and enhance their campaign performance. As an Insights Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in AdTech, combining technical prowess with business acumen to deliver compelling stories through data. You will be instrumental in addressing key questions from Customer Success, Sales, and our clients, using diverse data sources to provide clear and impactful answers.
In this role, you will write code to pull custom insights, create visualizations, and develop presentations that convey cohesive and persuasive narratives. Your ability to work cross-functionally is essential, as you will interact with clients, and collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality, accurate analyses. Your Role & Responsibility
- Team Leadership and Communication: Facilitate regular stand-ups and internal meetings with analysts to discuss technical approaches, challenges, and workload progress.
- Effectively communicate findings, obstacles, and updates to the Insights team to maintain alignment and transparency.
- Identify and escalate issues or roadblocks to the Insights team promptly to minimize delays or disruptions.
- Support for Analysts: Provide guidance on project logic, planning, and code/data quality assurance (QA) for QBRs and other projects.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource to ensure analysts are equipped to meet project requirements.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the data analysts.
- Ensure timely delivery of insights that align with client expectations and business goals.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Source and screen candidates for data analyst roles as business needs arise or to address attrition.
- Lead the onboarding and training of new analysts, ensuring they are proficient in client’s tools, datasets, and workflows.
- Develop and update training materials to reflect evolving processes and tools.
- Hard Skills and Tool Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of SQL (we use Clickhouse) for querying and analyzing datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Domo, Metabase…)
- Strong skills in spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets, Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, particularly Jira, to manage tasks and workflows efficiently.
- Business Review and Planning: Prepare and deliver a monthly internal business review to discuss team performance, current needs, and priorities with the Insights team.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and resource allocation to optimize team output.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any related courses.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team of data analysts.
- Proficient in SQL (Clickhouse) for data querying and analysis.
- Experienced in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Domo, Metabase, etc.).
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets, Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiar with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) to manage tasks and workflows.
- Excellent communicator, ensuring alignment and transparency with stakeholders and the Insights team.
- Ability to identify and escalate roadblocks to minimize project delays.
- Experienced in collaborating with Customer Success Managers to translate business requirements into actionable tasks.
- Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and train new analysts, ensuring proficiency in tools, datasets, and processes.
- Strong focus on business review and process improvement to optimize team performance.
- Able to work night-shift.
