For the leading sports event management and time measurement company in Switzerland, we’re looking for skilled Java Developers that are technically experienced and have good communication skills to interact directly with the European based product owners and development colleagues in an agile (SCRUM) working environment. You’ll have opportunities to play key roles in product planning, design, prototyping and execution.

Your Role & Responsibility

  • Develop features based on user stories and derived tasks
  • Work closely with the product owners to refine user stories and define tasks
  • Test features following the TDD principles before implementing and closing the task
  • Design and develop features alongside with the software architect/ leader

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or any related course
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant working experience
  • Strong Java 8+ coding experience with a passion for quality code
  • Following technology coverage is needed:
    • Java 8, 11 or higher,
    • Spring Boot
    • JPA/ Hibernate
    • REST
    • MySQL
    • Git
  • Understanding of microservices, service-oriented architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Some experience using Liquibase, ElasticStack and Kafka is appreciated.
  • Experience in software development best practices like SOLID, TDD
  • Understanding of CI/CD implementations
  • Good English communications skills (with experience working on an international environment is a plus)
  • Self-driven, motivated, and can work with limited supervision.
