In this role, you will often receive a clear “what and why” from the product side (overall concept, UX intent, and direction). Your strength is turning that into beautiful, consistent UI output: screens, components, states, and interaction details that feel clean and premium.
This is a remote role and we expect strong ownership. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly, and speaking up early if you’re blocked or finished with your current work.
Responsibilities
- Produce UI assets quickly and cleanly based on product direction (screens, components, icons, empty states, tables, forms, modals)
- Design detailed UI states so engineering can implement precisely (hover/focus, loading, error, success, disabled, edge cases)
- Polish the ATS experience by improving visual hierarchy, spacing, typography, and consistency across key workflows
- Turn complex workflows into clear screens that make “next actions” obvious for recruiters and hiring teams
- Help evolve our design system by standardizing components and patterns to keep the product cohesive as we scale
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are buildable, well-specified, and implemented accurately
- Support product marketing design including pitch decks, launch slides, one-pagers, and simple web/graphic assets
- Operate effectively in a remote environment: proactively share progress, flag blockers early, and speak up when capacity opens so we can keep work moving
- Success looks like:
- Screens and components are delivered fast, with minimal back-and-forth
- The product UI becomes more consistent every month (spacing, typography, component usage, layout rules)
- ATS workflows feel clearer and lighter, especially in candidate lists, pipelines, and job management
- Slides and marketing materials look sharp, consistent, and on-brand
Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of UI design experience (or equivalent portfolio work)
- Strong ability to execute from direction: you can take rough concepts and produce clean, high-quality UI deliverables
- Strong fundamentals in visual hierarchy, layout, typography, spacing, and component consistency
- Comfortable moving quickly in an early-stage environment with shifting priorities
- Self-driven communicator: you raise issues early, ask for clarity when needed, and proactively request more work when your plate is clear
- Experience collaborating with engineers and delivering build-ready assets/specs
- Portfolio showing product UI execution (not only branding)
- Nice to have:
- B2B SaaS product experience (ATS, CRM, admin tools, dashboards)
- Experience creating decks and product marketing assets
- Familiarity with accessibility basics and designing for multiple markets/languages
