We are seeking a skilled Senior QA/UX Engineer with experience in software testing, requirement refinement, and Agile/Scrum environments, combined with strong UX and business-process thinking.

As a Senior QA/UX Engineer, you will help ensure the quality, usability, and operational reliability of an in-house software platform for data center provisioning and operations. You will combine QA discipline with strong UX and business-process thinking, helping bridge the gap between operational users and engineers to make the platform intuitive, dependable, and ready to support downstream automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA and software testing for web applications and internal tools.
• Test new features and changes against functional requirements and acceptance criteria before release.
• Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing and proactively flag risk areas around releases.
• Track, reproduce, and clearly document defects, including reproduction steps, environment details, and logs.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable test cases, edge-case matrices, and release checklists.
• Run or co-run backlog grooming sessions, pushing for tickets that are clear, scoped, and estimable.
• Write feature tickets sourced from real application needs and workflow gaps, not just reported bugs.
• Talk directly to stakeholders and/or users to pin down scope, edge cases, and the intent behind requests.
• Flag ambiguous or conflicting requirements before they reach a sprint.
• Review acceptance criteria alongside engineering and product stakeholders up front to cover edge cases and ensure tickets are fully testable.
• Inspect API calls, payloads, and front-end errors using browser Developer Tools and Postman.
• Set up and maintain seeded test data and staging environments for realistic testing.
• Work closely with the Agile DevOps team, product stakeholders, and end users to ensure software releases meet real operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related role, with hands-on experience testing web applications and internal tools.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and sprint processes.
• Strong experience in backlog grooming, requirement refinement, and drafting detailed user stories/tickets.
• Excellent communication skills to interact directly with business stakeholders, end users, and software engineers.
• Strong track record of tracking, documenting, and reproducing complex defects.
• Proactive mindset with a keen eye for catching ambiguous or conflicting requirements early.
• Experience using browser Developer Tools (Console/Network) and tools like Postman for basic API verification is an advantage.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries for database and test data verification is an advantage.
• Familiarity or curiosity with test automation frameworks such as Playwright is an advantage.
• Experience testing complex internal operational workflows, permission systems, or admin dashboards is an advantage.
• Strong UX and business-process thinking with the ability to understand how software is actually used in the field.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
