We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer (focus on Fortinet) for our client that operates in Information Technology / SAP consulting space, specializing in process optimization through SAP workflows, e-invoicing, and data management. This is a pivotal role — you will manage, configure, and support Fortinet (FortiGate) environments, ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing network operations for its corporate clients.

Network Engineering, Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• Manage network infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members during project implementation and network troubleshooting
• Resolve complex network-related issues, escalations, and incidents in a timely manner
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure aligns with the organization’s requirements and standards

Project Management and Customer Interactions

• Plan, coordinate, and manage network implementation projects as well as customer requests from initiation to completion
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to ensure seamless project and tasks execution
• Conduct risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize project interruptions

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer (carrier or ISP background is a plus)
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) firewall systems
• Familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, and Watchguard network devices
• Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, and network security
• Experience in LAN, WAN, and wireless network design and maintenance
• Skilled in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus
